This issue usually occur after updating the SSL certificate on you Checkmarx server. The new certificate is imported into the store and when you attempt to connect to checkmarx webclient you get the error shown below;

Before proceeding, make sure that you licence is up-to-date because that can also generate the same error

Solution:

  1. Confirming that you successfully imported the correct certificate to the store

  2. Ensure that the imported certificate is valid by checking the issuer and expiration date

  3. Bind the imported certificate to the webclient site https in IIS

  4. If stopping the server services on the hierachy tree does not work, reboot the server and when it comes back up confirm that the World Wide Web Publishing service is running

  5. Navigate to the checkmarx login page on your favorite browser and you are operational again!!
