Working with a Java dependent application, i started experiencing issues with the GUI, pages were missing and items were no longer being displayed. Since i had not changed configurations in the application, it was time to troubleshoot;

  1. Power cycle the application server - issue persisted
  2. Affirm application configuration - just to verify nothing changed
  3. Re-install the application client - to address a potential corrupt file or library
  4. Lastly go into the Java control center and clear residual cache

-Make sure the application Java Client is not running Control Panel > Java Control Panel > General Tab
-Look for Temporary Internet Files > Select View
-Highlight the corresponding client application cache from the list and use the 'X' button to delete them
